The citizens of the Eastfield-Stanbrook Community Association and the Baltimore County Department of Recreation & Parks have really out done themselves this year!
They have offered a summer full of events for local citizens, with majority of the events centered around getting children interested in nature and our local parks. These events have been informative, interactive, and overall amazing!
Here is a list of events still to come
Saturday, August 16th (tomorrow): Weenie and Corn Roast 8-9:30pm
Roast weenies and fresh corn over the campfire while enjoying stories and songs. Ages 12 and under with adult supervision. Participation cost is $3 per participant
Saturday, August 30th: Canoe Trip 10am-1pm
Cross the pond, then portage to Lynch Cove with a naturalist as your guide to explore the shallow. Ages 12 + with adult supervision. Participation is $10 per participant
If you are interested in participating, please call 410-887-2817.
There are also a few programs that are offered in conjunction with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources:
Fishing Derby, Saturday, August 23rd from 9am till noon, for children 15 and under
Participation cost is #3 and includes lunch. It will be held at Stansbury Park. Bring your own gear or it will be provided.
To register for the Derby, call 410-887-3465. Space is limited and all registrations are first come, first serve. Please make checks payable to Eastfield Stanbrook Community Association for the Fishing Clinic

I just had a photo session there this week- it is a beautiful place that everyone should visit!

Hello,
I recently started walking around the Stansbury pond. Does anyone know the exact distance of the trail around the pond?

HI: I am wondering if there is a mailing list with events and things of that nature for this park. Thanks.

Use this website to measure your walk around the quarry, or anywhere actually.

I used hang out in that park in the 70’s as a teen. We ad many good times then, but the Park wasn’t as nice then as it is today.
I had a chance to just drive by my ol’ stomping grounds when visiting mom. Boy – I realized what great place Dundalk really is.
I no longer live there, but my mom and I visit regularly. Things are looking great there, BUT i hope the residents there keep the pressure on te local politicians to keep the place Safe.
And remember – The number one code of conduct in the Outdoors is: LEAVE NO TRACE…!
Please keep our Parks clean…..!!!!
Hail Dundalk.!
